ELF Mineral Lipsticks

Sun, 01/17/2010 - 6:09PM by glamatronic 0 Comments -

Eyes Lips Face, also known as ELF, is known for its unbelievably cheap prices, while still offering quality makeup. I recently tried 14 of their mineral line lipsticks. They retail at $5, but I took advantage of their 75% off lip products sale!

Pictured above and swatched below from left to right; barely bitten, cool coral, cheerful cherry, rustic brick, prime plum, ripe rose, royal red, fiery fuchsia, rosey raisin, nicely nude, rosey tan, party pink, runway pink, and natural nymph.

The pros of the lipsticks are that they're really creamy and most have a more creme or matte finish, while barely bitten, royal red, and cool coral have a pretty golden undertone sheen. Some of the lipsticks are more pigmented than others, however, I've found that they are also somewhat buildable.

A con of these lipsticks is they are somewhat drying, so I suggest applying a lip balm before applications. Also, the shade selection tends to lean towards the darker side, and I was a little upset that they didn't offer any true red colors or more pretty light pinks.

Overall, I would definitely repurchase some of these colors. My favorite shades are runway pink, barely bitten, and natural nymph. As for the other shades, I would repurchase royal red, cheerful cherry, nicely nude, and party pink as long as I had a coupon code.

You can find these lipsticks at eyeslipsface.com under the mineral section.

Be sure to check my blog again in a few days for a review of ELF mineral and studio line blushes.
